Tobruk Diorama Australian War Memorial

Tobruk Diorama – Reconstruction and background painting with George Browning. The original Diorama was a lot larger but very inaccurate, the decision was made to cut it down and reconstruct the terrain. The background originally modeled in plaster and totally out of scale was now painted, this created a greater depth of field with accurate reference supplied to paint the distant shore with all it’s buildings.
